I have the same. In Windos I have a lot of icons and in Linux I have now 0 icons. I have also no HDD and DVD icons any more.I must say that I have a lot less in Win 7 than I had in XP. For Linux try Unity vs Gnome 3 shell. I tried them both and I run now Unity but I like the Gnome 2 much more. Gnome 3 shell is not my thing. Unity I run now and there are some miner things but I find it better than Gnome? 3 shell. Still Gnome 2 is my choice.

I have green eyes also, use browns and purples, together or separate, use black mascara it will make more of a contrast.
