Hi Michelle, I’m from England and we are by nature revesred, but I understand where you are coming from. After bringing up my family and a twenty-year career in Finance, then four years working with property renovation and interior design, I gave up work because my mother was unwell and I sensed something was wrong. I didn’t know at the time she had only three months to live and after she died, whilst I was sorting her affairs, I decided to finally write the novel I’d always wanted to write. However, as soon as it was finished and before I could approach anyone, I felt myself being pushed to write an account of all the psychic things I had experienced in my life. As soon as I had written about 60,000 I put it to one side and got on with getting my novel published (due out this month). I have now pulled out that manuscript and will be releasing it on Kindle shortly. The point is I was happy to wait until I retired to write, but I feel my mother had other ideas for me. She was ill with something for which she could possibly have been given treatment, but chose not to. Since her passing she is with me regularly and leaves me in no doubt that she is happy I now have the life I always wanted, but didn’t expect would come until I was of retirement age. I spend all my time writing and love every minute of it, but I realise that if I hadn’t had the life experiences I’d had up until now then my writing would have been very different. For me it’s a case of feeling I’m doing what I’m meant to be doing at this stage in my life, but how I got here was engineered’ by someone who loved me very much!
