I can't speak for everyone else, but I can speak for myself. I grew up, as you know, outside the USA. Back home everybody removes their shoes before or just after entering a home. It drives me crazy whenever I visit a home of somebody I don't know well. I want to take my shoes off. I feel rude leaving them on. In general I am more comfortable barefoot (which explains why I usually take my shoes off during church).Thankfully I know the Greens well enough to feel fine about kicking off the offensive objects just as soon as I walk in the door.

I am the eldest of the three sisters with the most interesting path to where I am in my life. My life is shared by my husband of 21 yrs. and our son, 21 yrs. old. Currently, I am a middle school principal, studying for my doctorate degree in education administration, and training for a sprint triathalon. I have been thinking about one word that describes me best; restless. I do not like to sit still, I am very active (running, biking, hiking, golfing, swimming, etc.) I am not happy unless I am active and juggling more than one thing at a time. This has caused unrest in my life but I am starting to accept this and learn how to live within the constraints of time, physical limitations, and mental stamina. I am a true Capricorn – fiercely devoted, ambitious, disciplined, prudent, reserved (at times), serious, concerned with status. I devote a lot of time to my career and have difficulty opening up to others. Being the eldest, I was always in charge of taking care of my sisters, I still struggle with stepping back from that role at times. We have laughed, cried, loved, and lost together throughout our lives. They are the ones I call when I need to be brought off my pedestal, supported, or just vent frustration. I hope that this blog will bring my sisters and I closer together and provide me the opportunity to grow as a person.-Jill

I am the youngest of the three. I have great memories of my older sisters – some truly memorable, some I wish to forget. I still haven’t figured out who put my star wars figures on the baseboard heater & melted them! They have been there when I’ve been sick; they were with me when I looked at colleges away from home; they have always watched over me and I love them for being my role models. I married my high school sweetheart and have been married for 10 years! We have one son, currently 4 years old. I am a full-time stay at home mom who is the process of refining her writing skills with the end goal of being a published children’s author. Unlike my “restless” sister, I don’t run. I actually don’t get running. I see people outside running in blowing rain at 35 degrees and it pains to see what they are putting themselves through. But, I’ve been reassured that they truly enjoy it. Me, I love yoga. I often turn to yoga for healing my mind, body & soul. I wish I could be vegetarian but I love meat, especially a nice filet of beef w/a wine reduction sauce – YUM!One last thing about myself, I am a true Gemini. I am indecisive. I have no real direction in life. I never want to be an enemy. I like keeping busy. I am always expanding my horizons whenever opportunities arise, often multitasking between several interests. The only negative about this, I am a “master of none.” On and off, up and down, back and forth, black and white, day and night, ying and yang – this is the essence of my Gemini personality!I am excited for our blog. I cannot wait for the conversations to begin and for the journey to bring us closer!~dee
